Clients are getting ready for fall with new cuts and color. There’s something about having your hair done that is so rejuvenating! These are the pics from last week’s appointments:

Ryan came for some maintenance on his dreadlocks. He’s had them around 6 months!

Adam brought his friend to learn some tips for taking care of his dreads. We started them in November.

Abbie is one of the most friendly people I’ve ever met! I shaped up her haircut.

We adjusted her color, and I shaped her hair to give more volume in the front rather than underneath.

I love this naturally curly haircut! And I absolutely love her color!

There are so many different people who come to the salon for dreads work! I love meeting everyone and helping people with their hair really makes me feel great! I believe getting mature dreads washed in a salon has got to be one of the better feelings in life!!

He’s had these dreads since he was 2 years old!

We had a late night dreads session and fixed up her hair! She’d put in her dreads with some college friends, and came in for some maintenance. We had fun and are all happy with the results!

Sara and Her Dreads Getting Some TLC

Sara came to Grateful Dreads for some dreads maintenance. She’s had her hair dreaded for seven years and had never been for any maintenance. She let them form naturally and grooms them with her special wool gloves. She loves her hair very much and so do all of her friends! Her hair is so long and healthy, and Sara is full of wonderful experience and happiness! I really enjoyed this day!

Sara really looks amazing! Her dreads are loved by many! They’re all freshly cleaned, separated, tucked in, reformed, and healthy. Happy dreadlocks!

What a fun day filled with love and friendship! We had many visitors which made it even more lovely! Sara it was so nice to spend the day with you! I’ve worked on so many different hair types recently that I just can’t put them into a category except for happy clients who leave the salon with healthy hair that they love! I’ll let the pics tell the story:

Michelle came in for a haircut, and we added some blonde around her face. Her hair is blown out smooth here but has a very beautiful wavy natural texture!

This is a very special set of pictures. Allison brought in her daughter to talk about her hair, and Camellia just happened to be in the salon. We got to work right away while talking about products and methods to care for Connie’s very curly, delicate hair!

Camellia helped with Connies hair strengthening treatment. So cute!!!

Connie went home to let the conditioning really soak into her hair. Her mom rinsed it out and combed through. Then they came back the next day with good results!

Getting Cozy in Grateful Dreads

Winter is at it’s peak! These are some pics of the people who are getting great hair and staying warm in the salon during this cold weather.

David’s locks are gorgeous! These are interlocked, started by his mom, and for the past year maintained by me. I love how his hair looks twisted up like this. I pulled it up to fade his sides.

Couples haircuts! What a concept! We had a great time hanging out and doing haircuts and color. Laura and this salon are such a great match! Symbiosis at it’s finest!

There were a couple pics I didn’t snap of some great work I’d love to share! I gave Teymour the best looking cut in over 10 years. I suppose we say that a lot!!

I gave Alloy Ash the most beautiful icey purple platinum dreads for her trip to Texas. Congrats Alloy Ash and best to you while you’re down south!!!

Many New Clients! Lots of Hair Textures! Lots of Families!!

Macenzie came in looking really cute with a straightened, assymetrical cut. Very stylish but a little fuzzy at the ends. We all agreed the cut was cute, and since she wants her hair long, we would do a cute style and let her hair grow!!

I gave Macenzie’s hair some deep conditioning.

I left Macenzie’s natural curl on the sides and in back then added some curls with a small curling iron to the top. Kind of a pompadour look! Annette came in wanting a different look. We decided to push her hair forward instead of back, and I cut in a cute cut with bangs while accenting her natural hair growth especially in the back. Mama and daughter, so cute!!

Look at that beautiful natural curl!! I like the change in texture on top. It’s very styley!

Bron using the Kevin Murphy Color Bug. These really look great in her hair! And the color has already lasted a few days!

Linda grew out her hair for about two years! This was her first cut. We deep conditioned and gave her some fun movement! Linda does the graphic design for Grateful Dreads!

Anthony and Annelle with the new dreadlocks!

Anthony and Annelle are two really amazing people! They drove here from Oklahoma, and I am so glad to have met them!! Anthony is part of a youth ministry where he lives. The whole family is so stylish you wouldn’t believe it!

I rounded the tips of Anthony’s dreads. It’s the look he wanted, and his hair texture and condition were just right to do this.
